Text Box: Biography: A native or Paris, France, Leïla Claire Cahillane got her first camera at twelve years old, started working in the black & white darkroom at fourteen and won her first photo contest at fifteen years old. After completing a Bachelors’ Degree in Film in Paris, she moved to New York City. She studied at the NYU Film School and at the International Center of Photography (ICP), where she also worked as a Teaching Assistant. Leïla focuses her work mostly on people and nature. Her emotive sense of light and color enriches her photography and her directing experience brings a theatrical perspective to her portraiture. A multi-talented artist, she also writes fiction, poetry and non-fiction and she paints watercolors and acrylics.
